I have moved my office! Earlier this year I remodeled my home, which includes a beautiful new office. It's filled with light and the colors of nature and I will consecrate the space this weekend. My blessing and intention is that this is a source of deepest transformation and creativity an all levels -- emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual; and that everyone who is touched by me and my transmission realizes how magnificent they are, and is fully able to bring all their gifts into the world.
Next week on December 11, there will be a Jupiter Pluto conjuction on the galactic center, which will result in a huge shift in consciousness. The rumblings are already felt -- I am seeing and hearing about spontaneous healings and transformations. Things are being realigned in unexpected ways, and many new openings and possibilities are apparent.
Here are a few things I've observed:
* A client who has had many months of challenges related to moving an office and completing a business partnership, and has experienced a lot of tightness around the heart and physical exhaustion, has had a balancing in the heart chakra this week. The pain has stopped and been replaced by alightness and radiance. The exhaustion is easing.
* A business connection casually made several months ago, produced a conversation today that is full of possiblities for future teaching on a national level. There suddenly is a masterful group forming to help launch this new venture.
* A phone call from someone across the country who heard the podcast about my work with mothers and duaghters, who wants to provide some sane and healthy, nonpathologizing teaching about sexuality for a staff who work with at-risk young people.
* Friends who are committed to bringing their teachings more widely into the world, were contacted by a direct marketing firm that offers its services pro bono to a select few who have what they consider special products and services. Suddenly the question is how to provide the teachings to many while still maintaining the integrity of the transmission.
It's all very unexpected and surprising, and who knows where these openings will lead? What's showing up in your world?
I was interviewed the other day about the work I do with Mothers and Daughters. It's for young teenage girls (11-14 years old) and their mothers. We talk about puberty, sexuality, menstruation, moods, and what it's like to be a woman. It can be a very confusing time for the young women and their mothers. And there aren't many places where we can go and just talk about this kind of stuff in an open, safe and fun environment. Most mothers are clueless about how to broach the subject, so default to what's taught in school. And what's taught in school is, IMHO, sadly lacking. There's an undertone of shame and fear that gets translated to the kids -- not a great message as far as I'm concerned. Yet it's true that there are many sexually transmitted conditions and diseases these days, so sexual activity can be dangerous and even life-threatening. Not to mention that there's an enormous invrease in teen pregnancies these days. So what to do?
I think what to do is to provide a lot of information -- about physiology, about reproduction, about mensturation, about ssexuality, all in the context that it's a normal human activity and nothing to be ashamed of. Most young people become, or at least think about, sexual in their teenage years. And with the hormonal tides that flow, it can pretty hot and heavy pretty fast. Remember the first itme you really kissed someone? Or held hands in adrak movie theater? Don't tell me that wasn't sex! Remember how not you got and how the energy rushed aorund in your body and how on fire and alive and exciting it was? I'll never forget Denny Bird, the firss boy I kissed when I was in ninth grade. Wow! Even now, thinking about it, I can feel a lot of those sensations.
My point is that this is normal, and nothing to hide or stop or be ashamed of. And it's also very useful to have a bit of a road map for some things that can happen and some potential consequences of what can happen.
So I gather groups and we talk, we tell stories, I educate, I ask questions, we laugh and we cry. And at the end, we create a rite of passage to welcome these girls into being young women. It's all very moving. And I hear that both the daughters adn the mothers like what happens. It opens up the doors of communication. It brings them closer together. It brings up the elephant that can be in the room.
Tell me about your experiences growing up.
This is the first post.
It appears on both blog A and blog B.
In the /blogs folder as well as in /blogs/admin there are two files called [sample.htaccess]. You should try renaming those to [.htaccess].
This will optimize the way b2evolution is handled by the webserver (if you are using Apache). These files are not active by default because a few hosts would display an error right away when you try to use them. If this happens to you when you rename the files, just remove them and you'll be fine.
By default, b2evolution blogs are displayed using a default skin.
Readers can choose a new skin by using the skin switcher integrated in most skins.
You can change the default skin used for any blog by editing the blog parameters in the admin interface. You can also force the use of the default skin for everyone.
Otherwise, you can restrict available skins by deleting some of them from the /blogs/skins folder. You can also create new skins by duplicating, renaming and customizing any existing skin folder.
To start customizing a skin, open its '_main.php' file in an editor and read the comments in there. And, of course, read the manual on evoSkins!
